Announcement regarding the recruitment and selection, through competition, of staff for the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) under the project “Optimization of the District Heating Supply System in Chișinău Municipality”.

 

“Termoelectrica” S.A. announces the hiring, through an open competition, of experts for the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) to implement the district heating project: GRCF2 W1–Termoelectrica:

  • Project Coordinator

  • Social and Communication Specialist

  • Procurement Specialist

  • Financial Specialist/Accountant

The project is financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and aims to modernize and improve the efficiency of the district heating supply system, focusing on the transition of:

 

  • 665 apartment blocks to a horizontal heating distribution system;

  • installation of 2,510 Individual Heating Substations (IHS);

  • implementation of 57 pilot projects for the thermal insulation of selected buildings;

  • rehabilitation of primary heating networks, etc.

For the implementation of the project, a Project Implementation Unit will be established within “Termoelectrica” S.A. The PIU’s activity will cover the coordination of all project activities and cooperation between company representatives at project sites and the contractor, as well as improving project management mechanisms.

 

The PIU experts will be responsible for preparing and conducting procurement processes, supervising project works, and preparing reports in accordance with the requirements of the financing agreements.

 

The PIU staff will also be responsible for preparing consolidated reports to be submitted to the Bank, as well as approving and channeling payment requests to the relevant government body representing the borrower.
