A group of 9th-grade students from the EXCELSIS Private Educational Institution visited the Ministry of Energy. They had the opportunity to speak with the Minister of Energy, Dorin Junghietu. The purpose of the visit was to give young people a practical perspective on how energy reaches their homes and on the strategic importance of the energy sector for the country.

Dorin Junghietu explained to the students the journey of natural gas, how electricity is produced, and the importance of interconnection power lines (LEA) with neighboring countries. Among the topics discussed was the Chisinau–Vulcănești power line, essential for the country’s energy security and for ensuring the energy independence of the Republic of Moldova.

"The Chisinau–Vulcănești line and other similar projects help us ensure the stability and safety of the national energy system. It is very important to understand that energy does not simply appear in your homes; it is the result of a complex process of production, transportation, and interconnection. I encourage you to explore this field and consider that a career in energy can contribute to the future of the Republic of Moldova."

The students showed enthusiasm and interest in learning how the Republic of Moldova’s energy system operates.

The event highlighted the Ministry of Energy’s commitment to promoting education and awareness among young people, contributing to the formation of future specialists who will ensure the sustainable development and energy security of the Republic of Moldova.
