All Consumers Affected by Unfavorable Weather Conditions Have Been Reconnected to Electricity

All more than 7,800 consumers in 10 localities of the Republic of Moldova, who were left without electricity following the unfavorable weather conditions yesterday afternoon, have been fully reconnected to the power grid.
During the night, new outages were recorded, caused by strong wind gusts and ice deposits, bringing the total number of affected consumers to approximately 6,000 in the service area of JSC “RED-Nord” and 1,800 in the area of JSC “Premier Energy Distribution.” At present, all consumers have been reconnected, and electricity supply has been fully restored.
The intervention teams of the distribution system operators JSC “Premier Energy Distribution” and JSC “RED-Nord” acted continuously throughout the night and today, being mobilized in the field to promptly remedy the faults that occurred in the electrical networks.
At this stage, the distribution operators remain engaged in handling isolated cases related to notifications of disturbances in low-voltage networks (0.4 kV).
The Ministry of Energy continues to monitor the situation across the territory. In cooperation with other authorities and entities in the energy sector, all necessary efforts are being made to reduce risks and to ensure the continuous and safe provision of the public electricity supply service for all consumers.
