A 100% reduction will be applied to the entry and exit tariffs at two of the four interconnection points (Grebenyky and Ananiev) of the gas transportation system of the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine, according to a decision of the Exceptional Situations Commission approved on Wednesday.
The reduction will apply to system users transporting natural gas to storage depots in Ukraine on the route: PI Causeni - PI Grebenyky - PI Ananiev -- PI Oleksiivka. A similar decision for the same points is expected to be approved in Ukraine on October 9.
These decisions are intended to make the route more attractive and further actions are to follow.
As a reminder, Energocom piloted the "vertical corridor" of natural gas transportation Greece - Ukraine and demonstrated its technical and economic feasibility. The most complicated part of this route is the multiple entry-exit points between Moldova and Ukraine, which reduce the route's competitiveness, both logistically and commercially. Moldova and Ukraine are currently working together to further simplify the route.
