USAID selects an energy community for a pilot program to help develop and mainstream renewable energy at the national level

The Ministry of Energy in partnership with the Moldova Energy Security Activity - MESA, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), announces a contest to select an energy community to contribute to the development and integration of renewable energy at the national level and to stimulate the involvement of citizens, LPAs, Condominium Owners Associations, Associations of irrigation water users, associations of inter-community development in the energy transition of the country.
The objective of the contest is to identify one or two communities in the Republic of Moldova willing to participate in the implementation of the energy community concept. The contest is open to existing non-commercial organizations that have a collective form (non-profit, association, cooperative, partnership, etc.).
- Entities must have at least 10 members/people in the organization;
- Entities able to provide detailed technical data on historical energy consumption;
- Entities willing to participate for the duration of the pilot and maintain active engagement throughout;
- Entities that are financially stable and able to provide a mutually agreed financial contribution during implementation;
