The Ministry of Energy organized the sixth and last round of public consultations dedicated to the amendments to Law 10/2016 on the promotion of the use of renewable energy, elaborated with the support of the Energy Community Secretariat within the EU4Energy project "Support in the transposition of Directive 2018/2001 on the promotion of the use of renewable energy".
The leadership of the Ministry presented the novelties of the draft law, providing details mainly on topics such as the transition from net metering to net billing, future auctions on large installed capacities, the provision referring to second-hand equipment or the regulation of the integration of new technologies.
It is the most widely consulted public policy document, intensively debated for more than four months, some participants in the debate admitted. Market rationale, network stability and reliability, and the experience of other European countries were all taken into account in drafting the document, so that EU directives can be applied responsibly.
