2024 Climate Change Mitigation Action Facility call for projects
- 756 reads
The Embassy of Germany informs about the international climate finance program to promote sectoral decarbonization "Mitigation Action Facility". The focus is on the sectors with the highest global greenhouse gas emissions (energy, industry and transportation).
Under the annual calls for funding, transformative climate protection projects are financed for the implementation of nationally agreed climate protection contributions and long-term strategies.
The program supports ambitious projects to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the energy (renewables, storage systems, energy efficiency), industry and transport (e-mobility, charging systems) sectors with a funding volume of up to €25 million and a duration of up to 5.5 years. Projects must be in line with national decarbonization strategies, in particular long-term strategies and national climate protection contributions. Project ideas can be submitted online as concepts until February 29, 2024, via the open application platform (https://oap.mitigation-action.org/).
