CET Nord to buy natural gas on the stock exchange

CET Nord and BRM East Energy, a subsidiary of the Romanian Commodity Exchange, signed on Friday the Agreement on participation in the spot and standardized products markets on the natural gas trading platform in the Republic of Moldova, operated by BRM East Energy. The documents in this regard were signed on March 15 by the acting general director of "CET-Nord", Marian Brînza, and the executive director of "BRM East Energy", Ion Lupulescu.
The collaboration between CET-Nord and BRM East Energy is mainly aimed at developing operational models for the purchase of natural gas in a sound, transparent and non-discriminatory competitive market.
In the context of signing the agreement, Ion Lupulescu emphasized the importance of interconnected trading and clearing systems in strengthening cooperation between companies.
Interim General Director of "CET-Nord" S.A., Marian Brînza, expressed confidence that this collaboration opens new opportunities for the purchase of natural gas at competitive prices.
BRM East Energy was established in 2021 as a company registered in the Republic of Moldova, with the Romanian Commodities Exchange - the oldest private operator of centralized commodity trading markets in Romania - as shareholder. The National Energy Regulatory Agency of the Republic of Moldova approved on 14.03.2022, the operation of BRM East Energy as the operator of the natural gas trading platform in the Republic of Moldova.
By expanding its presence on the market of the Republic of Moldova, BRM contributes to strengthening energy security and setting optimal prices for the end consumer, thus helping to prevent possible crises on the energy market.
