Energy priorities discussed during visit to Straseni

The State Secretary of the Ministry of Energy, Cristina Pereteatcu, participated in a joint meeting with representatives of the Straseni Rayon Council, chaired by the President of the Rayon, Mariana Dimcenco.
Cristina Pereteatcu spoke about the successes achieved by the Republic of Moldova in overcoming the energy crisis and the current priorities in the process of diversifying the country's energy supply sources. Cristina Pereteatcu emphasized the importance of synchronizing the national energy system with the European ENTSO-E network, which will contribute to accessing the energy markets of the European Union.
During the discussions, Cristina Pereteatcu also talked about one of the current priorities - energy efficiency. In this regard, the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Energy revealed more details about the financing program Fund for Energy Efficiency in the Residential Sector in Moldova (FEERM), which was recently approved by the Government, and whose budget will be managed by the National Center for Sustainable Energy (CNED).
Cristina Pereteatcu spoke about the Republic of Moldova's commitments in the field of energy efficiency and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, as well as the priorities of the cyber security sector and the development of test centers for new energy solutions, known as Sandboxes.
The State Secretary of the Ministry of Energy emphasized that the efforts and progress made in the energy sector will not only strengthen the country's energy security, but will also contribute to Moldova's advancement in the process of integration into the European Union.
