The Minister of Energy of the Republic of Moldova held a bilateral meeting with the Ambassador of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova, Her Excellency Iwona Piórko, who was on an informational visit to the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Moldova.

During the discussions, the priorities of the energy sector in the context of the European integration process were addressed, as well as the measures needed to enhance energy supply security. The officials also discussed energy-related activities planned for 2025, included in the 2025 Reform Agenda, part of the Moldova Growth Plan.

The European Union remains an important partner for the Republic of Moldova, providing consistent support for accelerating reforms in the energy sector and for strategic projects aimed at diversifying energy sources and reducing the country’s vulnerabilities. This support contributes to aligning with European standards and advancing the goal of integration into the EU single energy market.
