Energocom Signs New Gas Procurement Contracts for the 2025–2026 Gas Year

Energocom continues the natural gas procurement process based on the strategy approved by the company’s Board. The price ceiling for acquisitions is determined according to regional market indices and approved by the Board, ensuring institutional oversight, transparency, and efficiency in the process.
Following several procurement procedures conducted between April and May, Energocom successfully acquired the first volumes of natural gas for the 2025–2026 gas year through newly signed long-term contracts. However, some tenders could not be successfully finalized because, despite low TTF prices, the offers received exceeded the ceiling approved by the Board. In addition, procurement from the Dutch exchange would have involved significantly higher transport costs, leading to a higher final price compared to regional options. The price and volume of acquisitions are considered commercial information and cannot be disclosed without the approval of the parties involved.
The Energocom team monitors regional price developments daily and adjusts its actions in line with the procurement strategy, ensuring an efficient and responsible process for the energy security of the Republic of Moldova.
