Minister of Energy, Dorin Junghietu, attended the inauguration of MOLDENERGY 2026

Chișinău, April 2, 2026 — The Minister of Energy, Dorin Junghietu, attended the opening ceremony of the international specialized exhibition MOLDENERGY 2026, one of the most important events in the energy sector of the Republic of Moldova, held at the IEC “Moldexpo”.

 

This year’s edition of the exhibition brings together representatives of public institutions, the diplomatic corps, development partners, the business community, and experts from the energy sector, providing an important platform for dialogue and cooperation in the field of energy and energy transition. The event promotes the exchange of experience, the presentation of modern technologies, and the strengthening of partnerships in the energy sector.

 

MOLDENERGY 2026 featured around 50 exhibiting companies, was visited by approximately 6,000 people, and covered an area of over 1,000 m². The exhibition brought together producers, distributors, and suppliers of energy technologies, showcasing a wide range of modern solutions, including solar panels and energy storage systems (batteries), heat pumps, meters and electrical equipment, automation systems, energy efficiency solutions, as well as “smart home” and “smart grid” projects aimed at the digitalization and modernization of energy infrastructure.

 

At the opening ceremony, speeches were delivered by the Ambassador of Germany to the Republic of Moldova, Hubert Knirsch, the CEO of Expertise France, Jérémy Pellet, the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova, Sergiu Harea, as well as the Director General of IEC “Moldexpo”, Zinaida Popa.

 

In his speech, Minister Dorin Junghietu highlighted the strategic importance of the energy sector for Moldova’s energy security, the country’s economic development, and the acceleration of the transition to renewable energy sources. He also emphasized the need to attract investment and to develop a modern, competitive, and sustainable energy sector.

 

“The transformation of the energy sector is essential for the economic future of the Republic of Moldova. MOLDENERGY provides a valuable platform for dialogue between institutions, the business environment, and international partners, contributing to the identification and promotion of innovative solutions,” stated the Minister of Energy.

 

Following the opening ceremony, Minister Dorin Junghietu visited the job fair organized within the exhibition, where he spoke with young specialists and candidates interested in employment opportunities in the energy sector.

 

During the event, from April 2 to 4, the Ministry of Energy also organized a job fair with the participation of nine institutions from the sector, including Moldelectrica, Termoelectrica, CET Nord, Red Nord, Premier Energy, CNED, UCIPE, Moldovagaz, as well as the Ministry of Energy. In total, more than 200 job vacancies were available, ranging from technical and operational roles to management and specialist positions.

 

Representatives of the Ministry of Energy interacted directly with participants at the job fair, providing clarifications and detailed answers regarding employment opportunities in the energy sector, recruitment conditions, required skills, and career development prospects in the field. They emphasized the importance of maintaining an open, consistent, and constructive dialogue with the professional and academic communities, as well as with the public interested in the energy sector, in order to strengthen the qualified workforce and attract new specialists to the field.

 

MOLDENERGY 2026 continues to represent an important platform for promoting innovation, exchanging experience, and strengthening cooperation in the energy sector of the Republic of Moldova.
