The Tender Commission convened on 15 December 2025 to finalize the draft tender documentation, in line with the proposals received during the public consultation process. At the same time, the text of the Announcement on the initiation of the tender procedure for granting large eligible producer status was approved.

The Announcement will be published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Moldova on 19 December 2025, the date on which the tender procedure will be considered officially launched. On the same day, the complete tender documentation will be available on the website of the Ministry of Energy under the section:

Energy Policies → Renewable Energy → RES Tenders → Tender Documentation 2025–2026, or it may be obtained upon written request sent to the following email address: wind.auctions@energie.gov.md, starting from 19 December 2025.

The tender for granting large eligible producer status represents the mechanism for implementing the support scheme “fixed price / variable premium.” Participation in the tender is limited to projects with a supported capacity of more than 4 MW and up to 170 MW inclusive, with the obligation to install, on the free market, a minimum electricity storage capacity of 0.25 MWh for each MW of the supported capacity of the wind power plant.
