Training workshop on cyber security and critical energy infrastructure in collaboration with the US

The Ministry of Energy, in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Energy, is conducting a training workshop on cybersecurity and critical energy infrastructure. The event is aimed at energy sector employees and institutions responsible for the energy sector in the Republic of Moldova, with the objective of strengthening their capabilities in identifying and preventing cyber-attacks. The workshop will take place on March 27-29.
According to, Cristina Pereteatcu, State Secretary in charge of digitalization of the energy sector, this initiative is part of the Ministry of Energy's efforts to ensure the security of Moldova's energy infrastructure and to respond to cyber threats in an efficient and proactive manner.
"Our aim is for participants to acquire valuable knowledge and relevant skills in managing cybersecurity in the energy sector. Working together, we can face the current challenges and ensure that Moldova's energy infrastructure is secure," said Cristina Pereteatcu.
The event takes place against the backdrop of an increase in cyber threats to energy infrastructure, and the partnership with the U.S. Department of Energy provides an opportunity for Moldovan participants to familiarize themselves with best practices in the field and learn how to protect their infrastructure against such attacks.
The Ministry of Energy expresses its gratitude to the U.S. partners and reaffirms its commitment to continue working together to ensure the security and stability of Moldova's energy infrastructure.
