Aligning the legal and regulatory framework in the energy sector with that of the European Union shapes new markets, liberalizes the sector, and introduces competition, thus creating multiple opportunities for new businesses, stated Secretary of State Carolina Novac. She made this remark on Wednesday during the 7th edition of the conference dedicated to the Republic of Moldova, part of the "Regional Approach" series, organized in Chișinău by the Romanian magazine Energynomics.

Carolina Novac outlined the Ministry of Energy’s efforts to transpose the EU acquis and the resulting investment opportunities. These include not only the construction and modernization of energy infrastructure and generation capacities, but also major investments in building energy efficiency, the harnessing of renewable energy, and the digitalization of the energy sector.

In this context, the Secretary of State extended an invitation to the Romanian companies present at the event to explore investment opportunities in Moldova across the various sectors discussed during the panel, such as energy storage batteries, photovoltaics, wind power, electric vehicles, and hydrogen testing, among others.
